Shaquille O'Neal

It’s been an interesting year for athletes when it comes to speaking out about social justice and politics.

Shaquille O’Neal is usually one personality people love to hear from, even if his remarks are questionable. The four-time NBA champion, who is set to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame this week, stopped by Fox and Friends on Thursday and gave his opinion on Colin Kaepernick‘s protest against standing during the National Anthem.

He stated, “To each his own. It’s something I wouldn’t do. How come you didn’t decide to do this last year or the year before that or the year before that?”

But nothing is more surprising than Shaq’s unofficial endorsement of Donald Trump. The 15-time All-Star defended his controversial friend, saying that Trump is “a stand up guy.”
