Gaga’s back.
It’s been two years since Gaga released her collaborative Cheek to Cheek album with jazz legend Tony Bennett and three years since she released a pop album, but she’s returned with a brand new single titled “Perfect Illusion.”
Produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson, and BloodPop, Lady Gaga delivers a roaring rock hit. She publicly thanked Mark, Kevin, and BloodPop for making the record happen.
“I don’t need eyes to see, I felt you touchin’ me/ High like amphetamine, Maybe you’re just a dream/ That’s what it means to crush, Now that I’m wakin’ up/ I still feel the blow, But at least now I know,” sings Gaga. “It wasn’t love. It was a perfect illusion.”
No word on when Gaga will release a new project, but stay tuned. Take a listen to Gaga’s new single below.
