Nike will be releasing the final colorway of the Kobe 8 and the final in the Kobe Prelude Pack on January 25. This release comes in a multicolor colorway which include volt, chrome and a slew of other color.
The colors are inspired by Kobe’s shortened season due to injury. The shoe was designed by Eric Avar, for the Kobe 8 Bryant wanted a shoe that acted as an extension of his foot. Which meant he wanted a show that mirrored his quick moves and performances all while staying closer to the ground in a low-cut sneaker.
To answer Kobe’s request, Avar and his team incorporated an innovative textile a new Nike engineered mesh. For the first time, the mesh was designed on top of Nike basketball shoe. They also designed an ultra-lightweight sneaker that is 90 percent mesh for 360 degrees of breathability, strength and flexibility for the Kobe 8.
When the sneaker hits sneaker shelves, the Kobe 8 Prelude will be a limited release. Look for them to be released at Nike accounts.
