Beanie Sigel Photo Call

Beanie Sigel went from laying super low to making headlines almost every day this week thanks to The Game and Meek Mill‘s beef.

After a video surfaced on Monday of the legendary emcee getting knocked out by a member of Meek Mill’s crew, Beans is finally opening up to clear the air. The Philly king stopped by Taxstone‘s podcast and talked about the knock-out and why Meek Mill is really mad at Drake.

After getting himself involved in the Game beef by claiming he was ghostwriting for Meek, Beanie was jumped by Meek Mill’s friend Teefy Bey at a Philly show.

He told Tax, “Wasn’t nothing straight up in front of me. Let’s keep it 100. The people who got the full tape, show it. It’s me and three other n**as around me that probably no bigger than 5’2. You got a 6’4, 300-something pound n**ga who front lining for [Meek].”

Beanie said that he thought about talking to Meek but realized, “He’s never going to listen. He’s on his high horse. He didn’t fall yet. He don’t know that the same people you see going up, is the same people you see coming down.”

As for why Meek started beef with Drake, Beanie Sigel believes that it has more to do with Meek’s girl and Drake’s labelmate Nicki Minaj, than it has to do with ghostwriting:

“So what’s the real reason why [Meek] was mad at Drake?” asked Beanie. “In my point of view? You was laying in the bed one night, you rolled over and you looked at her and you asked her, ‘You f*ck that n*gga?’ And she ain’t answer you in the way you wanted to.”

Taxstone revealed he originally planned to just have DJ Self come on the podcast, but Beanie Sigel called and said he had to get something off his chest. Check out the full episode here.
