Donald Trump Holds Campaign Town Hall In Iowa

If there’s one thing that Donald Trump is good at, it’s burning bridges.

The second of Donald Trump’s three wives, Marla Maples, once insisted that if he ever ran for president, she’d find a way to take him down – and that time may be now. Maples made a threat seventeen years ago, the first time Trump flirted with the idea of entering the race, saying, “If he is really serious about being president and runs in the general election next year, I will not be silent, I will feel it is my duty as an American citizen to tell the people what he is really like.”

There’s no time like the present.

Ever since Donald Trump’s 1995 tax returns were leaked to the New York Times, revealing that he suspiciously took a nearly billion dollar personal write-off that year in order to set himself up to not have to pay taxes for over 18 years, many questioned who spilled the personal information to the press. Maples is the first culprit that comes to mind, since she was married to Trump in the nineties and had first-hand access to their tax documents from that era, Daily News Bin reports.

According to BuzzFeed, Trump threatened to ruin Maples financially if she ever spoke about his personal life and finances during his run for POTUS, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. There’s no physical proof that Marla Maples leaked her ex-husband’s tax returns, but many thought that her tweet following the news was pretty suspicious.

She posted a pic of a patch of orange pumpkins with the caption, “Breathe it in as if 2day’s the first day of your life.” If Marla Maples is the leak, she has now surpassed Kim Kardashian and Blac Chyna‘s level of petty.
