La La x CarmeloAs the Carmelo Anthony free agency saga continues, numerous sources have claimed to know what he will or won’t do.  Well this source isn’t anonymous and as his wife this is probably one we can trust.

“I definitely think he will stay. I know that he wants to stay and I support him wherever he wants to go,” La La Anthony said in an interview with Bravo TV’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

“Listen, I used to live in Denver with him. If I can live in Denver, I can live anywhere. I just want him to be happy.”

Carmelo Anthony can opt out of his contract with the New York Knicks at the end of the 2013-14 season and become a free agent.  The Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls have been the main teams mentioned should he decide to leave New York.  Teaming up with either Kobe Bryant or Derrick Rose seems like a smart decision for Anthony who made it clear that he only cares about winning a championship.  “Championship is the only thing that’s on my mind, is the only thing I want to accomplish, I want to achieve, and I’m going to do what I got to do to get that. That’s my motivating factor. Nothing else even motivates me anymore, just that,” said Anthony.  The Knicks incentive is that they can offer him a maximum contract of $129 million over five years, which is more than any other team.

Anthony continues to reiterate that he isn’t sure what he will do yet although his wife seems pretty confident.  La La also joked about being blamed for whatever he decides as she was often pegged as the person who made him come to New York in the first place.

“I get blamed for everything — no matter what happens, it’s my fault,” she said. “[There are] all these talks if he’s staying in New York or not [and] I’m somehow the mastermind behind if he stays or not.”

As I’ve mentioned before all reports are just speculation but these quotes from La La are sure to put a smile on the faces of Knicks fans.
