Today, hip-hop sensation-turned-convict Bobby Shmurda was officially sentenced to seven years behind bars. However, Bobby didn’t go down willingly. He claims that he was forced to take a plea deal by his attorney against his will.

The NY Daily News describes the scene in court:

But a suddenly reluctant Shmurda told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Abraham Clott that his lawyer forced him into accepting the deal against his will.

“I was forced to take this sentence. I don’t want to take this sentence,” Shmurda told the judge as flustered lawyer Alex Spiro stood alongside him in the courtroom. “I want to drop my plea.”

The rapper then addressed his lawyer directly: “I want to drop my plea and fire you.”

Nevertheless, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Abraham Clott agreed to the seven-year sentence. In all, Bobby pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of weapons possession. According to the Daily News, he claimed the gun he was popped with on June 3, 2014, was a prop for a video.

Hold your head, Bobby.
