The music scene in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, is shaping up to be one of “unity.” One rapper who’s building a reputation for himself is Maryland’s own, Big Flock. 24-years-young, The Great Depression is a highly-anticipated release for Flock.
Although he’s away (#FreeFlock as you’ll see scattered throughout a Twitter timeline), Flock’s fanbase prove their loyalty and readiness for this project. Holding 16 tracks, the Linebacker rapper pulls in 21 Savage, HoodRich Pablo Juan, Ill Wonka, Baby Ahk, Young Clip, MK, SnaxBeats, and many more.
The title comes from the pain of life — to which has effected Flock’s movements. With his dad fighting for his life and his the loss of his best friend Christopher Smith, Flock says “I truly suffer from depression.” Lyrically at his best, this will be a project that will shock most — as far as content and improvements within himself.
The Great Depression is set to arrive on Oct. 29, this weekend.
