After years of battling for custody and closure, Dwyane Wade wins again.
According to reports, the NBA star has been given permission by a Florida judge to relocate his two oldest sons, 14-year-old Zaire, and 9-year-old Zion, from Florida to Chicago. The judge signed off on the relocation to Wade’s hometown, where he’ll be continuing his basketball career with the Chicago Bulls, saying, “There is no good cause not to permit the relocation.”
As part of the initial custody agreement with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, Wade’s children will still travel to visit their mother in Atlanta, Georgia. The news of Wade’s kids moving across the country with him is just another example of the drama between he and Funches. Before things became slightly civil between the high school sweethearts, who divorced in 2010, Funches was once accused of abducting her children and she even alleged that Wade abused her during their marriage.
Wade, who is now married to Gabrielle Union, has a another son Xavier, 3, and takes care of his 14-year-old nephew.
