Lil Wayne set the internet on fire on Wednesday after video surfaced of the star’s Nightline interview in which he dismisses the Black Lives Matter Movement.

After publicly claiming that he can’t identify with the movement because of his fame and success, Weezy issued an apology and explained what triggered the controversial comments. He explained, “When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses.”

Instead making his apology long and drawn out, the Young Money CEO concluded his statement with, “Apologies to anyone who was offended.” This isn’t the first time that social media roasted Wayne for his opinionated comments. Earlier this year, the rapper told Fox Sports he doesn’t see racism because so many of his fans are white.

Get it together, Weezy.
