The Greatest X (pronounced “The Greatest Unknown”) is the ninth studio album by Reks, released early September on Brick Records. The Greatest X features extensive appearances from N.B.S. King Magnetic, Rasco, Termanology, Edo G, R.A The Rugged Man, Planet Asia and Guilty Simpson among others. The album’s star-studded production credits, almost a who’s who of your favorite producers, include Evidence of Dilated Peoples, Large Professor, The Alchemist, Nottz, Buckwild (DITC), Black Milk, Apollo Brown of Ugly Heroes, Statik Selektah and The Audible Doctor.

This double LP totals in at a massive 35 tracks long, exceptionally solid throughout and features numerous standout tracks including “Jump Shots” (w/ DJ Statik Selektah and prod. by Buckwild), “The Recipe” (prod. By Nottz) and the large posse track “Final Four 2”. The Greatest X combines quality with quantity and the sheer presence of both commands a listen, one that is sure not to disappoint.

Before starting his recording career in 1999, Reks was a breakdancer and studied at Univeristy of Massachusetts Amherst. Reks’ reputation as an emcee developed to such an extent that he decided to follow music full-time. He continued perfecting his craft and went on to release a string of now classic albums including Rekless, Grey Hairs, Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme (R.E.K.S.) amongst others.

Reks was nominated in the Boston Music Awards 2011 for both Album of the Year and Hip Hop Artist of the Year 2011, UMA Male Artist of the Year 2011 as well as winning Indie Album of the Year 2011. The prolific Reks has featured on over a hundred further releases from working with DJ Premier, N.O.R.E. Freddie Gibbs and dozens more. Reks shows no chance of slowing down his hungry work rate anytime soon that has earned him such a strong reputation as a talented lyricists and storyteller from fans and fellow emcees alike.
