The Chicago rapper is known for being the progressive voice of the young people, and always changes the norm to make things easier for millennials. On Monday, Chance led a crowd of hundreds of early voters from his free concert in Grant Park’s Petrillo Music Shell to the early voting super center in the Loop to cast their ballots.

The crowd began to form around 6pm, and according to the Chicago Board of Elections, by 8pm, the lines were outrageous, stretching for four city blocks. Cook County Clerk David Orr said pre-Election Day voting reached over 438,212 ballots as of about 8 p.m. Monday. The previous record was 273,661 ballots in 2012.
