Waka Flocka is a free man now–musically.
On Friday, the rapper announced on Twitter that his long-time struggle to be released from Atlantic Records has finally come to an end. In 2013, things turned sour with the record label and Waka announced that his Flockavelli 2 album was complete, but Atlantic never showed any signs of releasing it.
The Bricksquad member tweeted his gratitude to fans for putting pressure on the label to release the album, or let him go completely:
Frustrated with Atlantic, Waka even tweeted the label’s number out a while back, and of course fans had that hotline blinging:
Welcome back, Mr. Hard In The Paint.
