Nick Cannon‘s talkative nature has caused some real issues for the star in the past, but it hasn’t stopped him from always saying exactly how he feels.
During an interview with The Breakfast Club, the America’s Got Talent host the rapper was dished on life post-election when he was asked about fears that Donald Trump may try and roll back women’s abortion rights. Nick responded, saying that he thinks Planned Parenthood is committing real genocide against black Americans. He continued, “Everybody, Hillary was sneaking and cheating. Think about all the stuff they did with Planned Parenthood and all of that type of stuff. That type of stuff is to take our community and forget gentrification, it’s real genocide. And it’s been like that for years. This system is not built for us.”
The showbiz king went on to discuss the Presidential Election and choosing between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. He said, “Picking out of these candidates was like choosing which gun you want to get shot with,’ he said. ‘It’s the same system, pick your oppressor. You can’t vote your way out of oppression.”
Nick’s statement about voting comes as no surprise. The Howard University, who also admitted on the show that he has another kid on the way, once pledged that he would not vote “until black lives matter.” Check out the interview above.
