If you’re still hype off Tate Tucker’s “Just Wanna,” well there’s more in store from the alt-hip hop artist. This time, Tucker puts his R&B vibes downtempo into a sweet single called “How Could I Be Mad (HCIBM).”

Tucker tends to float between the stylings of a rapper, and an R&B crooner that’s say Usher-like in a way. While his other 2016 tracks “Just Wanna” and “7/11” definitely breach hip hop, his latest work isn’t a club banger—though, you can still pop and lock it to it.

The love-centric “HCIBM” documents what it’s like to fall in love: complex yet entrancing. “Uncertainty is certainly stressful,” is a lyric that rings too familiar in the mind of anyone who’s been bitten by the lovebug. Tucker is prepared to offer his girl a world of commitment—even saying something so 21st-century-romantic, “Never pick up when my old thing be calling.” The real question is: Is she all in? With his emotional first single “HCIBM,” we can hopefully expect such an answer in his upcoming EP, All In.

Until then, just press play on track “How Could I Be Mad (HCIBM)” by Tate Tucker.
