Pool Cosby teams up with rap legend Raekwon to introduce their new single “A Poem is a Hustle”.
Pool Cosby and Raekwon use a combination of sample- based electronic music and rap to introduce a chill vibe of edgy and sweet sounds reminiscent of long drives in the summer time. This isnt the first time that Pool Cosby has merged two different worlds of music. The Brooklyn based trio has done so in tracks like “Little Do They Know” and “Lookin’ Up”.
The Pool Cosby trio consists of Jacuzzi Jefferson, Kevin Kuh, and Otto Botté, who have fused their different musical talents to generate a buzz for themselves in Brooklyn and even made it to #1 on Reverbnation’s list of top experimental artists in Brooklyn. They continue to experiment with their own sound as they recently partnered with Maak Hause to record a live jam session as they cruised through the streets in their Jeep.
“A Poem is a Hustle” finishes with a relaxing jazzy vibe accompanied by vocals from Elena and Samora Pinderhughes who are also instrumentalists making names of their own. Samora has performed with Common, Bilal and Robert Glasper for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert at the White House. Elena has performed in several music festivals throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, and South America.
