How did native Floridian Ayron Michael‘s love for music get started? Like most people, his inclination to music runs in the blood. But he has a unique liking in terms of sounds. His family served as his biggest influence. He grew up in a home where everybody has a penchant for music. This helped him a lot in delivering smooth tones and soulful harmonies today.
Ayron Michael is a college graduate who began to pursue his destiny in music with the support of James Watkins, father of T-Boz from TLC, and Roosevelt “Roc” Williams. “Blessing in Disguise” is produced by Kemar McGregor also known by his nicknames, Flava McGregor, is a Jamaican-American pop reggae producer. He has recorded and produced music for the most renowned artists in the music industry, including Sinead O’Connor, Musiq Soulchild, Syleena Johnson, Elephant Man, Maxi Priest, Sizzla, Marcia Griffiths, Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder, Buju Banton, Capleton, Freddie McGregor, Barrington Levy, Gregory Isaacs, Morgan Heritage, Gyptian, Beres Hammond, among many others. McGregor is the owner and chief executive officer of FM Records. McGregor is a nominee for nominated for Reggae Producer of the Year awards. Some of his albums appear on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart, including a No. 1 debut in October 2013.
He has high expectations for Ayron Michael’s career. McGregor said he had two artists in mind at the time of producing the track. He was thinking of Akon and Gyptian. But he felt like he needed someone who is “upcoming and talented to do the song.” He was lucky enough to be introduced to Ayron. He was wowed by how much passion Ayron puts into his songs, regardless if it’s reggae or pop. Indeed, meeting each other was a blessing in disguise.
He felt the urge to release “Blessing in Disguise” for Ayron as soon as he heard his demo. Ayron’s work did not fail to impress the producer although it has less reggae but more pop element in it. Kemar sees the demo as an “icing on the cake.” He explains that he didn’t send it to either as he felt it was unique and preferred to find a young and upcoming artist to record the song. “As soon as I heard his [Ayron Michael’s] vocals, I knew he was the right artist to sing ‘Blessing in Disguise’. Ayron Michael is a talented artist and I know he is going to be the next big thing in the music industry.”
