About 20 years ago the South kicked the doors in on the hip-hop industry and let the world know it had something to say. First there was Outkast, then came T.I., Jeezy, and the streets of the A. Now that Street-Hop is running the Southern music scene, audiences can tend to forget that there is more to the Southern rap music scene than Atlanta. One state up from the A is an artist doing big things in South Crack.  His name is KP aka THE BOI KOUP. Hailing from a section in Myrtle Beach named Poplar (affectionately called “Pakistan”) KP reps his city hard. Through his potent lyrical bars, KP takes us down the gritty streets of his Poplar block. Part playboy, part hustler, KP is all emcee. If it takes about ten years to be an overnight success, then KP is well on his way. A mixtape veteran and diligent grinder, KP has been flooding the streets with quality music for nearly a decade. With a new album in the works, KP appears poised for his big break. Stay tuned, and remember, you heard it here first!
