There is a new President of the United States and for some the reality is too much to handle. Well, get over it sort of… I say get over it, because it is indeed the reality. Some of you were still holding out for last minute hail mary of rescission . You looked for recount possibilities after irregularities were claimed in certain regions. Then as further news that Russia was involved in influencing our electoral system, you thought that there was somehow a chance that his victory could be questioned enough with clear knowledge that the foreign nation did hack our system in some way.
I laugh, not because those were unreasonable thoughts, but because your hope is naive related to politics. The Republicans control the House, Senate and now the Presidency. To think that they have the moral inclination to question and somehow limit their immense control is just cute. Minimally, for the next two years we are going to see partisan politics in which the Republicans and Trump are going to force legislation and policy down our throats and it matters little whether we are going to like it or not.
I realize how negative and potentially pessimistic such a statement is. Call it semantics, but I instead prefer to label it realism. READ MORE
