Mariah Carey has captivated audiences for over 25 years, but it looks as though her reign might let up.
Page Six reports that the pop star is having trouble selling tickets for her “All The Hits” tour with Lionel Richie. Ticketmaster has even tried to boost slow sales by offering tickets as part of a “buy one, get one free” promotion for the concerts, which kick off in March.
Sources say that Carey’s disastrous live New Year’s Eve performance is the reason for the decline in sales. Her new single “I Don’t” featuring YG is also a flop. As you may recall, MC was blasted for failing to keep up with her songs or even lip-syncing properly during her live Times Square performance. After the incident, she blamed the producers of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ NYE for the mishap.
However, a rep for the diva denies that she is having any trouble selling tickets, telling reporters, “Mariah is working enthusiastically with Live Nation and Lionel’s team to put together an outstanding tour.”
At least the mom of two has a new beau whose shoulder she can cry on.
