Cam’ron has always been a trendsetter. From coming into the game with his own sing-songy, syncopated style of rap, to painting the streets pink with his fashion and cars, Killa Cam has always walked to the beat of his own drum. So who else would be the one to respond to a nationally syndicated interview by going on Instagram Live and spitting his version of the truth for nearly 3 hours, but Killa Cam?

On Saturday night, while the Warriors were routing the Thunder, Killa Cam stole the night when he went Live on his Instagram page to address an incendiary interview his Dipset partner Jim Jones did on Hot 97 with Flunkmaster Flex last week. Donned in a plush blue Polo robe (and simulcast at times on his ride-or-die chick Juju’s popular IG page) Cam took his time and strolled down Dipset memory lane, dissecting Jim’s story, while adding his own cliff-notes. At one point, Cam even had his best friend, and LHHNY cast member, Mendeecee Harris call in and set the record straight about him putting the beats on Jimmy (‘I didn’t know he could run that fast!’) A gracious host, Cam even fielded questions from the comment section, which seemed to consist of a who’s who of Harlem and hip-hop media (RapRadar, Nore, etc.) What did we learn from the Live broadcast? Cam didn’t jerk Jim (pause) out of any money,  Industry Rule #4080 still applies, Ma$e’s influence on Harlem hip-hop cannot be quantified, Cam is not a “crier,” and that Instagram is not equipped to handle hip-hop royalty (the Live broadcast drew so many viewers the site kept freezing.) Most importantly, there is no beef between Jim and Cam. This is just a sibling rivalry between brothers.
