During a performance in Sao Paulo, MC Daleste was shot and killed.

A 20-year-old Brazilian rapper by the name of MC Daleste, Daniel Pellegrine, was shot and killed during a performance in a township of Campinas, Sao Paulo this past Saturday.

Video footage shows Daleste was rapping to the crowd coming to a finish [presumably his first track] as the last people who’d ever see the young MC again roared and screamed with excitement.

After a short pause, Daleste begins to rap again and gets no further than 30-seconds before being struck with a bullet and collapsing on stage causing the crowd to abrupt in chaos. He was rushed to the hospital only to be too late.

Daleste had a large following, althought not as much in the United States, but vocalized smooth lyrics to mid-high tempo beats that make listening enjoyable. You can click here to check out his music.

No suspects or arrests have been made as of yet.

Condolences go out to the fans, friends, and family of Daniel Pellegrine.
