EA Sports responds to Aaron Hernandez’s case
It is starting to become as if Aaron Hernandez never existed as a person. First the New England Patriots removed all Hernandez jerseys from their team store, after that the team allowed fans to trade in their Hernandez jersey for any jersey they wanted. Now Hernandez won’t even be in the virtual world.
Usually when a player gets hurt, suspended, or injured they sit on the bench in a video game and you promptly sub him in regardless because it is in fact a video game. EA Sports will not be letting you do that this time around. EA Sports has announced they will be removing all likeness from Aaron Hernandez from NCAA 14 along with removing Hernandez from Madden 25 (August).
For those of you who have somehow avoided the news for the past month Aaron Hernandez is currently in jail. The reason why Hernandez is in jail is because he allegedly murdered semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
