We knew it was happening, but Ziplock finally admits it.
Since Pusha T signed to Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D. Music imprint 3 years ago, everything from his free music releases to his work on G.O.O.D. Music/Kanye West LPs was geared towards this moment. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait “a month” for it to happen. Despite the success of “Numbers On The Board”, and the slow-burning “Who I Am”, Pusha T does away with the July 16th release date in an interview with Power 98 for My Name Is My Name (Re-Up Gang/G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam), alluding to the fact that there’s simply a whole lot of good music out, most of which has been released by his compadres, and he wants time to deliver the best product possible. Push reminded us of some of the all-star contributions to the LP, which include Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, The Dream, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Young Jeezy, and then some. According to the Clipse member, his album is the “hardest to come out this year”, and we’re anticipating it could be.
