Music. Clothing. Shoes. Religion. Textbook. Now a film. Kanye West’s influence really is god-like. In an interview with Vice, screenwriter and novelist Bret Easton Ellis, of American Psycho, talks about Kanye West film.
During the interview, Vice asked Ellis if he could talk about the Kanye film collaboration.
“You know what, I can’t. It’s in Kanye-land and that’s all subject to a whole other time frame. He came and asked me to write the film. I didn’t want to at first. Then I listened to Yeezus. It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car. He’d give me an advance copy and I thought, regardless of whether I’m right for this project, I want to work with whoever made this. So, fuck it, I said yes. And, that’s how it happened. That was seven or eight months ago. We’ll see what happens.”
Regardless of what critics think about Yeezy, no one can deny his influence on America culture. Mr.West ventures include a shoe deal with Adidas and Professor Julius Bailey, of Wittenberg University, will release The Cultural Impact of Kanye West in March. Oh, and he’s has a powerful impact on music and his fellow artist.
