On Tuesday February 18 LeBron James scored a season high 42 points against the Mavericks for a 117-106 victory in Dallas. James seemed rather focused after returning from the All-Start break, scoring 19 points in the first half vs. the Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzski and the Dallas Mavericks seem to be on LeBron’s bad side after beating them in the 2011 NBA Finals. Prior to Tuesdays’ matchup LeBron’s previous season high of 39 points came against the Mavericks in November.
Lebron has given credit to the Mavericks for making him a better player on the court. After Tuesday’s victory James told sources:
“They are the reason why I’m the player I am today”
“When they beat us, I went to a place I hadn’t been before”.
James is coming off a strong campaign for the 2013-2014 season, averaging 26.8 points per game, 6.5 assist per game and 7.1 rebounds per game. James and The Heat hope to continue their success on the road Thursday night against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
