2013 was a banner year for black movies, television and music. For example, films like “12 Years a Slave,” “Lee Daniels’ The Butler” and “Fruitvale Station,” excited audiences and critics alike. On February 22, the 45th NAACP Image Awards will celebrate the accomplishments of those films and more. The Image Awards will honor the contributions of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.

The two-hour special will air live on TV One at 9:00 p.m. ET. Image Award nominees were announced, however, in January. The NAACP solicits submissions for more than 50 categories. Committees then narrow submissions down to just five nominees for each category and the organization’s membership of more than 200,000 voted for the winners.

With just days before the big show, we’d like to know for which entertainers and projects you’d cast your ballot. Let us know in the polls below. Who knows, you might predict the winners in some of the hottest categories!
