Today in Milan on Feb. 23, Massimiliano Giornetti debuted the Ferragamo FW14 runway collection, unveiling the House’s new premiere handbag, FIAMMA, inspired by the Ferragamo female legacy.
VIP guests in the front row included Princess Melusine Ruspoli and Helena Bordon, carrying the FIAMMA.
The color palette used in the collection were pulp, melting: an investigation of black, coffee brown, chocolate, sand and camel are mixed with brick red, amber grey with accents of bronze. Designs on the runway included strong coats, architecturally designed capes and small blousons with sculptural necklines mask the delicacy of light dresses; thick mohair sweaters shelter skirts constructed with exquisitely treated pleats. Layering was textured, embellished and multifaceted: fading paintings, intertwining knots, exposed pleats, and evaporating spots. Flowing waist dresses, neckless coats, caressing shirts and pleated skirts outline a vertical and vibrant silhouette.
