While Drake is currently overseas promoting Nothing Was The Same, we have learned that he and his PR firm, ID-PR have parted ways.
For the past year, ID-PR and Drake have been working together for the release of the rapper’s latest album as well his Would You Like A Tour?. Two weeks after his notorious rant geared toward Rolling Stone Magazine, the PR-firm decided to part ways, according to Billboard.
Turns out, ID arranged the feature with the publication, but due Drake’s handling of the Rolling Stone situation, the firm initiated the departure and shortly after, released this statement: “Drake is an incredibly talented artist and we’re proud of our results for Nothing Was the Same and Would You Like a Tour? We wish him the best.”
According to multiple sources who’ve worked with the artist on other features, “Drake has been known to be difficult to manage when it comes to print interviews, setting availabilities for photo shoots and interviews often at the last minute and forcing magazines like Rolling Stone and others to make difficult decisions at press time.”
