It’s getting ugly in NYC.
The New York Knicks are the laughing stock of the NBA. They don’t stand a chance against the good teams, and struggle against the worst teams in the league. Some Knicks fans on Twitter were asking for bandwagon release waivers. At this point, can they be blamed?
There were some quality games on the NBA plate last night. The Oklahoma City Thunder look are finally back on track, while the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs continue to brush up for the playoffs. Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving and Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic also put on a show on their home courts with big time performances and victories.

Warriors 126, Knicks 103
Most of the fans in attendance came to see Stephen Curry light up the Garden once again. He put up 54 on the Knicks last year and his second visit to MSG did not disappoint. Somehow, Curry pulled off a performance that is more impressive than a 54 point game: recorded a triple-double in three quarters of play.
The Knicks didn’t stand a chance in this game, as they played lifeless by jacking up bad shots and playing uninspiring defense. In their second blowout in a row after getting destroyed in South Beach on Thursday night, the Knicks are torturing their fans with their lack of heart.
Curry finished the game with a phenomenal 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 23 points and 16 rebounds.
The Warriors improve to 36-23 and the Knicks fall to 21-38.
Bulls 100, Mavericks 91
The Bulls continue to pick up meaningful wins as they prepare for the postseason. The Chicago squad picked up their eighth win in nine games as they rallied late in Dallas for the big win. This loss sets the Mavericks back half a game behind the Warriors for the sixth seed out West.
Taj Gibson led the Bulls with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Monta Ellis finished the game with 20 points for the Mavs.
The Bulls improve to 32-26 and the Mavericks drop to 36-24.
Thunder 113, Grizzlies 107
The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up their first win after losing three straight since Russell Westbrook’s return to the line up. After losses to the Heat, the Clippers and the Cavaliers, there is no reason to overreact and this win should get them back on track. It was also great to see Kevin Durant get back to his dominant ways a he scored 30 of his 37 points in the second half.
Durant led the Thunder with 37 points, six rebounds and five assists. Mike Miller finished with 19 points for the Grizzlies.
The Thunder improve to 44-15 and the Grizzlies fall to 32-25.
Spurs 92, Bobcats 82
It took them a while, but the Charlotte Bobcats have finally become a tough out for every team they face. The Spurs made sure they took care of their business at home and made sure they don’t lose any ground in the West playoff picture. Sitting a game and a half behind the Thunder for the top spot, they gained some ground after the Oklahoma City’s three game skid.
Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Al Jefferson finished the game with 20 points and seven rebounds for the Bobcats.
The Spurs improve to 42-16 and the Bobcats drop to 27-31.
Lakers 126, Kings 122
Remember when the Lakers vs the Kings was a big time rivalry? They tried to rekindle the magic last night in a high scoring duel at Staples Center that finished in dramatic fashion. The Lakers rallied late to pick up the home win against a talented Kings squad.
Jordan Farmar put up 30 points and seven assists for the Lakers. Rudy Gay led the Kings with 32 points and seven rebounds.
The Lakers improve to 20-39 and the Kings fall to 20-38.
Suns 116, Pelicans 104
The Suns are trying to get back after a recent skid the past couple of weeks. They need to finish the season strong if they want to solidify their hot start to the season and make the playoffs. They sit a game and a half ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies for the final spot out West.
Goran Dragic continues his stellar play this season with a 40 point game last night in Phoenix. Anthony Davis led the Pelicans with a monster 32 points and nine rebounds.
The Suns improve to 34-24 and the Pelicans fall to 23-35.
Cavaliers 99, Jazz 79
It’s hard to believe, but All-Star game MVP Kyrie Irving recorded his first triple-double last night in Cleveland. The Jazz didn’t stand a chance last night as Irving and the Cavs routed Utah. If the Cavs can continue winning, they still have a shot of making the playoffs as they sit three and a half games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the final spot in the East.
Irving finished the game with 21 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
The Cavaliers improve to 24-36 and the Jazz drop to 21-37.
