Joe Iurato makes us want to pay attention to detail as we walk in the NYC streets on a daily basis. The New Jersey based artist recently created tiny wooden street art that he strategically placed in different locations. Depending on where the tiny pieces of art are located, they could remain there for hours or days. These tiny figures are inspired by different stages and events in Joe’s lifetime. Starting on March 9th, 2014, Joe will be displaying his “Small World Street Art” collection (curated by Amy Young) at NY based art space R. Jampol Project(s). The exhibit will last until Sunday, April 6th. Some pieces include a tiny little boy writing on the curb of a sidewalk, a tiny fishing boat, a small child crossing the street on a turtle and many more whimsical and realistic pieces. The gallery is located on 191 Henry St. in the city.
