Good news for Knicks fans
And we mean, really good. What came as a surprise, long-shot announcement a few days ago is now a reality for the New York Knicks, who have apparently lured Phil Jackson to take an executive position in their front-office as of very early this morning.
Fox Sports is reporting that very late last night, Phil Jackson and the Knicks agreed in principle to a deal that would place the 11-time NBA champion, in charge of both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant’s historic three-peats, in charge of all the team’s basketball operations.
Jackson may just provide the stability and direction the Knicks need. Their season has been in the tanker for the majority of the year, only recently have they begun to show signs of hope, and they currently sit only 3.5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Neither Jackson nor James Dolan, who runs the Knicks, have made an official comment but we expect that later today.
