One of Peyton Manning’s favorite targets, Eric Decker, was released by Denver. Why? Most likely because they have Wes Welker on a nice, juicy contract and didn’t think they needed two massive wideouts on nice, juicy contracts when they also have Peyton-Friggin’-Manning, reassembled neck, multiple record 2013 season and all.
The Jets started romancing Decker right away and got him to commit with a contract worth five years and $36.25 million with $16 million of that guaranteed. The Jets are still the Jets though, so sake this with a grain of salt the size of New Hampshire.
