Don’t push me, ‘cause I’m close to the edge.
This rap lyric by hip-hop pioneers Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five is an ode from the group’s classic 80’s song “The Message,” a hit that is too well known among music heads, especially the older generation. Today’s younger bunch may know the rhyme because it was several times borrowed and reused at later periods by more current namesakes such as P. Diddy in his 1997 cut “Can’t Hold Me Down” featuring Mase. Well while some simply sampled the rap lyric, daredevil Scott Young took it a step further and 40 stories up. The proclaimed acrobat has mastered the art of the handstand and proves it by demonstrating the trick at the edge of a 40-story building rooftop during what seems to be a pretty windy day. Watch the video, but don’t push.
