Shots rang out just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday night on a Brooklyn bus resulting in the death of a 39-year-old man. The alleged shooter involved is 14.

The shooting took place on Marcus Garvey Boulevard near Greene Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. According to bystanders the shooter began opening fire after getting in an argument with a rival toward the rear of the bus. Instead of hitting his aimed assailant, he hit Brooklyn father of two, Angel Rojas in the back of the head.

According to police this is not the first time the young suspect has gotten in trouble with the law. He has a prior arrest record for disorderly conduct. The adolescent along with two others was taken into 79th Precinct for questioning after being found with an unloaded said NYPD sources.

Rojas is survived by his wife Maria, 41, daughter April, 8 and son Saury, 12.

“I’m 12, he’s 14. He was too small to be around a gun like that,” Saury told The Daily News. “My dad would still be alive right now . . .”
