Training Camp/Frat Gang’s One Take has released his intuitive new mixtape Coming For Everything. The Don Cannon/Trendsetter DJ Sense-hosted record is a collective of NY-based culture with an edge of his individual style and lyrical charm.
The Queens-raised rapper contributed months of lyrics, experiences, and aspirations into the making of his new catchy project. Recorded in the heart of New York City, Take elevated above his previous mixtapes by securing the best in the business to architect each part making it a brilliant masterpiece.
“This is, by far, the most lyrical body of work I’ve released,” One Take said confidently during his mixtape’s listening session at Quad Studios earlier this week. “I’m an artist. I love to create. And Coming For Everything is a true example of my art – musically and sonically.”
The mixtape’s single “Verrazano” has made Internet buzz around the country, popping up on indie Billboard charts and gaining momentum from online fans with YouTube lyric videos and remakes done by social media mavens.
“My musical career began when I was born honestly,” Take said. “I have been influenced and surrounded by music since I was young; whether it was my dad playing reggae music throughout the house or me deciding to join the school band and chorus.” He continued: “I came to the realization around the end of seventh into eighth grade that making music was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.”
