If you thought Tara Reid was a ditz in Sharknado, wait til’ you see her in real life.

While appearing on a recent episode of Discovery’s Shark After Dark, the not-so-bright actress showed signs of her blondness while attempting to flaunt her knowledge of sharks. Though she claimed to come prepared — because, like, she didn’t, like, want to sound stupid — the starlet seemed anything but, as she stumbled through an explanation of whale sharks.

Spoiler alert: whale sharks aren’t the product of sharks and whales having sex. Who knew?!
