The jokes just write themselves at this point.

To say Drake has been the butt of a few internet and social media jokes would be like saying Jay Z has sold a few records. There hasn’t been a time when Drake has spent a considerable time around or with a certain athlete or group of athletes that the Twitter jokes have subsided. A perfect example of them came around Monday night, when Drake’s beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats lost the national championship game to the UCONN Huskies. A picture of a deflated Drake standing in the stands staring blankly was re-tweeted, re-blogged, and meme’d into oblivion.

That being said, Drake’s ability to laugh at himself has always kept him above the fray.

So, on July 16th, Drake will take his natural talents to the stage as he hosts the ESPN ESPY awards for the first time in his career. He will be among many of the athletes (Lebron James, Johnny Manziel, Terrence Ross, Andrew Wiggins, Demarcus Cousins etc) that he’s befriended, rapped about, hung out with and adopted as honorary OVO crew members, but his involvement with these athletes have also made him the laughingstock of Twitter and Instagram on many different occasions.

This should be lots of fun.
