An Ohio man was accidentally shot in the arm at a gun safety class over the weekend. To make matters worse, the shooter was his instructor.

Michael Piemonte, 26, and his wife were sitting in the front row when the instructor was demonstrating a self-defense technique and accidentally discharged his weapon, shooting Piemonte in the arm.

“Everyone was in shock,” he told CNN. “It took me a couple of seconds to realize that I had been shot.”

The police who responded to the scene have classified it as an accident. Piemonte says the instructor has been checking on him regularly to check-in. ”It makes me feel good that he is so concerned,” he said. “It was the first time I’ve been shot, and hopefully the last.”

Not sure how many people could respond as cool and collected as this guy after being shot. Kudos to him.
