The Hip-Hop Hall of Fame Awards is making its way back to the small screen.
According to Billboard, the award show’s induction ceremony and concert show will be returning to New York City for a taping in midtown Manhattan on May 19.
The site reports that popular MC Roxanne Shanté will co-host the festivities.
This will be the first broadcast of the show since it first aired nationally on BET in 1996.
Organizers for the show have said that competition from other hip-hop award shows, such as The Source Awards, played a part in hindering plans to bring the award show back to TV.
