If you missed TNT’s Inside the NBA following game 3 between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers, then you missed a hilarious exchange between Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal.

With the Golden State Warriors down 98-96 with 7.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Warriors guard Steph Curry took a game winning three pointer. Guarded by the Clippers’ Chris Paul, Curry missed the shot and fell hard to the ground with no foul called on the play.

Highlights of the final play were shown on Inside the NBA as was Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson pleading his team’s case with the referees following the lack of a foul call at the end of the game.

Inside the NBA’s Ernie Johnson then turned to Shaq, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley and asked if they ever pleaded their case with the refs.

Boy, why did Ernie do that?

Get your mind out of the gutter! Shaq was referring to NBA referee Dick Bavetta. * Trying hard not to laugh *

Shaq’s play on words was beyond hilarious! If you’re not familiar with referee Dick Bavetta, here’s the skinny: Bavetta has never missed an assigned game and currently holds the league record for most officiated games. Last season, he refereed his 2,600th consecutive game as an NBA official.
