Your internet as you know it is in danger. If you didn’t know, you will soon. Comcast and the impending TWC merger is trying to take over your access to the websites you like and charge you for them. And that’s on top of the Internet charges you already pay them.

You ready to hear some disturbing truth? Then carry on, young man.

Comcast has several ex-FCC members on the payroll

Comcast having several ex-FCC members working for them means they have inside knowledge of how to work the FCC to get what they want. And the more they get, the more power they have. And that means charging you more money for services you already get. Want proof?

Comcast killed ‘net neutrality’ with help of ex-FCC members

‘Net Neutrality’ is the idea that every website that exists has the same unfettered access to the internet as everyone else. Comcast, with a combination of lawyers and lobbyists, got ‘net neutrality’ removed from the FCC so that they can do whatever they want with charging varying websites. This is why…

Netflix has to pay Comcast for access to Comcast subscribers

With ‘net neutrality’ rules in place, Netflix had the same access to its online customers as Giantlife. However, with ‘net neutrality’ out of the way, Comcast could start charging access costs to Netflix for the same access they had to provide, for free, when ‘net neutrality’ was in place. Netflix, to maintain profitability, will have to pass those extra costs to you.

FCC Chairman is allowing for a Comcast to fast lane certain customers

You’ve probably been hearing a lot about ‘The Fast Lane’ relative to the FCC. The Fast Lane refers to the idea that ISPs (aka companies that provide internet like Comcast) can charge more money to maintain fast access to internet users.

So one day, Comcast could look at Giantlife and say, ‘Hey b*tches, we want more money so your pages will still load quickly for your viewers.’ Giantlife would then have to find a way to earn more income to meet those costs. Usually, again, this means charging you for access or just adding more ads to the site. Awesome, right?

Comcast is lobbying the f*** out of Congress for TWC merger

Comcast is already the fastest and largest provide of internet in the country. If they merged with TWC they would then have absolute control of all of the fastest lines of internet in the US. This is a monopoly and is illegal as hell. But they lobbied Congress to allow it so here is stands. And they’re about to snatch up the last bit of real estate preventing them from total dominance, Time-Warner Cable. And absolute power means higher costs for services to you because, you know, where ya’ gonna go?

Comcast owns Hulu

Thought you could escape excess Comcast and Netflix charges by switching to Hulu? LOL You so silly! Comcast owns them. You can go to Amazon Prime for now, but they don’t have nearly as many of the movies and tv shows you like to watch as Comcast, Netflix or Hulu do. So as Comcast gets more power, you lose more money trying to pay for the stuff you already get. Only in America, right?

In conclusion…
