Star Wars is back for the seventh episode and for the first time George Lucas is holding onto the reigns. Fans shouldn’t panic however, because last year it was announced that J.J. Abrams would direct the new trilogy that will continue years after the story of the first set of films ended. While it has been known that the original three heroes would be reprise their roles, with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill all confirmed, nothing else major has been announced, until today.
Abrams has recently shared the new cast of the film, which will feature some familiar faces and many new ones. It is a young group, which might hint at the infantile stages of Luke’s Jedi Academy. To get acquainted with our new heroes, take a look at them below.
