Advertisers want YOU.
Videos are uploaded constantly to YouTube for viewers to enjoy- 100 hours of content a minute, in fact. With that being said, every day has become a challenge for advertisers of the video-sharing site, as they have to seek out the top-tier content in order to successfully market their product. Fortunately for them, Google Preferred was introduced at YouTube’s 3rd Annual BrandCast Event, making their job just a little bit easier.
The pitch allows advertisers to buy ad space in advance to be featured on select Google Preferred channels. Certain channels, such as teen fashionista Bethany Mota & Michelle Phan‘s makeup tutorial channels seem to have more influence on viewers than well-known celebrities at times because they appeal more to the 18-34-year-old demographic. With millions of subscribers comes millions of views, & these are where the Google Preferred label will be placed.
The BrandCast Event wasn’t all business. Having taken place at Madison Square Garden yesterday, Wednesday, April 30th, the building was filled with celebrities & execs being informed of the latest launch. Singers Pharrell & Janelle Monae hit the stage, giving the invitees an enjoyable performance.
Expect to see the Google Preferred label on 14 different YouTube content verticals, including Comedy, Sports & Video Gaming. For more information, read additional details at TubeFilter.com.
