You’d think Gary Clark Jr. would be content with a Grammy. Nah. Then again, I doubt it’s about a popularity contest for the Austin star. It’s all about making quality music that you can rock to, whether you’re 16 and angsty or 70 and still very angsty. Well there are a few more songs to add to that playlist for when you’re 70. Gary Clark Jr. recently released a new mixtape that comes complete with some of your favorite rappers and producers who remixed original tracks from his Blak and Blu album. Hell, you might want to add these to your playlist for all outdoor summer events right now.
The man has been at it non-stop, touring with the Dave Matthews Band and Kings of Leon, separately. He’s set to hit Europe throughout May and then in July, he aims to make every major city in the states his home on yet another tour. Stay up to date on his tours at his website.
