Michael Carter WilliamsThe 2013-14 season may be one the Philadelphia 76ers want to forget.  They finished with a 19-63 record and 29th overall in the NBA.  There was one shining light however, Michael Carter-Williams.

After trading away Jrue Holiday and later Evan Turner, it was Carter-Williams who stepped up and took over.  He averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, and 6.2 rebounds this year, won the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month four out of the six months and had one of the best rookie seasons in Sixers history.

With this it is no surprise that he’s named the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year.
