Over the weekend Damian Lillard hit the biggest shot in Portland Trail Blazer history (maybe not). The shot  advanced the Trail Blazers to the next round of the NBA playoffs.  They ended their series playoff win drought of more than 10 years. Lillard’s shot with the 0.9 seconds left on the clock wasn’t the most difficult, but the finish was more than epic one the team hasn’t seen in its 45-year history.

While Blazers great Maurice Lucas hit a tremendous shot to beat Denver in Game 1 of the 1977 Western Conference semifinals, the shot that we could say sent the team to the NBA finals. In fact recent Blazers legend Brandon Roy hit a 90 foot shot to beat the Houston Rockets back in 2008, but the shot came in the regular season. So we could say at the moment Damian Lillard may have the most important shot in recent Blazers history.

With Damaian Lillard shot ending its series against the Rockets lets take a look back at the great NBA buzzer beaters of all time during the playoffs.
