Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. officially kicked off Bronx Week 2014 today by hosting a party at the Gun Hill Brewery on Laconia Avenue. Bronx Week is a 10-day celebration of everything that makes the Bronx unique.
Borough Diaz was joined by Bronx Walk of Fame 2014 honorees and Bronx natives Swizz Beatz and David Zayas, as well as Council Member Andy King and Deputy Borough President Aurelia Greene, in a show of Bronx pride. The kickoff featured music, food and fun and the press conference that was transformed into a celebration of the Bronx County Centennial.
Bronx Week is co-produced by the Bronx Tourism Council and the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation. The event showcase some of the best flavors that the borough had to offer, including Bazzini Nuts, Bronx Baking Co.,Ceetay, Delicioso Coco Helado, El Habanero Mexican Cocina, Gun Hill Brewery and Landin Macaroni & Cheese.
