How on earth is Michael Jackson releasing albums from the grave? Well, much like Tupac, Michael was prone to “over-recording” or making more tracks than he would actually use on an album.
“Love Never Felt So Good” was actually written in 1983 with Paul Anka, but was left on the cutting room floor. Timbaland is serving as executive producer for the album and has produced both an album version and a duet with Justin Timberlake.
News of the single and album had been circulating for months. But it wasn’t until recently that the single was debuted by L.A. Reid during the iHeartRadio Awards with a special dance tribute from Usher.
Both the album and Justin Timberlake versions are currently available on iTunes, but the full album, Xscape, is will be released on May 9 by Epic Records. If you’re a fan so hard you want to hear the grimy original mixes of the songs, get the deluxe version.
