The trick shot team known as the “legendary shots” basketball crew who hail from Hoover and Pelham were at it again yesterday with a new trick shot that sent them to new heights. The group which consist of ages of 18 to 21, yesterday they released a video of a basketball shot from a helicopter, shooting a shot from almost 200 feet in the air.

Taking their trick making abilities to new heights the Legendary Shots crew teamed up with Express Helicopters for the trick shot shoot at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport.

A member of the crew said the team started out at about 250 feet in the air, then air traffic controllers radioed in on the crew and told them to lower the helicopter, no real reason was given but eventually  the crew did make a shot from 200 feet.

The crew plans on creating new and crazy shots this summer. They are looking into getting together with world-famous frisbee thrower Brodie Smith a second go around with him and possibly hooking up a trick shot shoot with a NASCAR driver and his car. A big agenda for the crew also is to break the Guinness Book of World Records’ longest flat-ground basketball shot.
